Seasonal & Permanent Holiday Lighting • Charlotte, NC

Holiday lights that look intentional — and stay on.

We install two kinds of holiday lighting: classic, remove-after-Christmas rooflines and modern permanent RGB/smart systems (Govee-style). Both are installed with proper clips, power checks, and tidy cabling so you’re not out in the cold fixing a dark section.

On this page: what we install, how we plan power, differences between permanent vs. seasonal, safety standards, and how to book.

Holiday lights installed on a Charlotte home

What we install

1. Permanent eave / trim lights

Low-profile RGBIC / smart systems (like Govee Permanent Outdoor Lights) mounted to the eave/soffit with channels or clips. Great for year-round color, game days, and holidays. 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi, phone control, scenes.

2. Classic C9 / C7 rooflines

Pro-grade warm white or color C9s for roof peaks, gutters, and ridges — clean, repeatable layout, no staples, gutter-safe clips. Best for that “Christmas card” look.

3. Trees, rails & feature lighting

Trunk wraps, shrubs, porch railings, wreath power drops, and patio string lights. We match brightness/temperature so everything looks like one display.

Our holiday lighting process

1. Layout & power check

We map the roofline, note peaks, gutters, and trees, then check available outdoor GFCI outlets and amperage. That’s how we avoid overloading a single circuit.

2. Product selection

Seasonal jobs → pro C9/C7 LED light line, outdoor-rated cords. Permanent jobs → IP65+ smart fixtures (Govee / similar) with 2.4 GHz connectivity and controller placement planned near power.

3. Safe mounting

We use plastic clips, gutter clips, or trim-safe mounts — not staples or nails that pierce siding, gutters, or wires. This is what most pros recommend to avoid damage.

4. Weatherproof cabling

We keep cords off the ground where possible, use outdoor-rated extensions, and cap/cover connections. Great for our wet Charlotte Decembers.

5. Test & program

We test every section, chase dark bulbs, and — on permanent/smart — we help you name zones/scenes in the app so changing colors is easy later.

6. Takedown / maintenance

Seasonal installs include a scheduled takedown. Permanent installs include a walkthrough on cleaning, changing controllers, and Wi-Fi tips.

Permanent vs. seasonal — what’s right for you?

Go permanent if you want year-round colors, app control, and to stop climbing ladders. Go seasonal if you love switching looks every year and want that classic C9-on-the-roof Christmas vibe. Both can be installed safely with clips, GFCIs, and proper load planning.

We’ll ask for photos of your roofline and a quick note on outlet locations so we can price it fast.

Customer-first promise

If a section goes dark early in the season, we’ll come take a look.

Lights are outdoors — storms, kids, pets, and wind happen. If something is out too soon, text us a photo and we’ll troubleshoot wiring, connections, or replacements.

Our Charlotte office actually answers the phone during the season.

FAQ

Do I need to be home?

Not always — if we have good photos and you’ve told us where power is, we can install while you’re out. We’ll send completion photos.

Can you install my Govee/permanent lights?

Yes. We can install/app-setup most permanent RGBIC outdoor lights that use 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi and outdoor-rated controllers. We’ll mount it cleanly and test the app with you.

What about power and outdoor safety?

We only use outdoor-rated cords, avoid piercing wires, and try to land on GFCI outlets whenever possible.

When should I book?

September/October for permanent. October/early November for seasonal. We fill up fast once the first cold front hits.

Do you store the lights?

We can label and box them for you. Storage options depend on the package — ask when you book.
